Maddie and Matt's Happy Earth, a recommended app for kids

Do you let your kids play on the iPad or Android tablet? Here's an app that I recommended so your kids can also learn to take care of Mother Earth while having fun.

AppsLabs Digital Studios, Inc. and Kid Apps, Inc. has developed Maddie and Matt's Happy Earth to help young children be aware on how to take care of the environment.

The application is free and it's available for both iOS and Android platforms. Although you can still download on your iPhone or Android phone, you can get the most out of its features if its installed on an iPad or Android tablet.

The app is an interactive storybook that shows facts and other trivia about the Earth. It also teaches kids various environmental issues and solutions.

There are also mini games like the Segre Game where kids can learn how to properly segregate and dispose trash by dragging items to the correct bins. Meanwhile, in Create Your Own Happy Earth, kids can drag different objects on the screen to style his own planet. Look at how funny-looking my Happy Earth is!

There's also the Spot the Difference game, which is self-explanatory. Anyway, if your child has a Facebook account, you can connect it to the app so he can share his Happy Earth activity to his Facebook friends. He can also use the Happy Earth he designed as his profile photo. App activities can also be shared on Twitter and through email.

Maddie and Matt's Happy Earth is actually a successor of the app, Maddie and Matt's A to Z's of Good Manners & Values which something that I also recommend. I am also glad to find that there's a Filipino version of this app. You can use it to help train your child in reading and speaking Filipino (or it can also be the other way around).

You can download Maddie and Matt Happy Earth from the Apple Store or Google Play at no cost. For more information about the app, please visit MaddieandMatt.com.

  1. I do let my son download iOS games. All work (studying) and no play will make him a cranky boy :)
