Staying Healthy in this Changing Weather

A lot of my friends are sick these days. Most of them have coughs and colds while some had sore eyes. The crazy weather we're having is partly to blame. How do you keep yourself and your kids resistant from these diseases?

Here's what you can do:
  • Eat a balanced diet which includes foods rich in Vitamin C. 
  • Take in extra vitamin supplements. Our family takes Fern-C now and it works well.
  • Keep the body hydrated. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day even when your out of the house.
  • Get enough hours of sleep. A tired body will not be able to fight viruses and bacteria.
  • Wash/Disinfect the hands regularly. 
  • Keep an umbrella handy, rain or shine.

The weather is erratic even in other parts of the globe. My cousin in the States told me a week ago that my niece has the "walking flu." The little girl loves outdoor fireplaces that she frequently stays in the porch at night even when it's starting to get cold over there. Probably, that's how she got the flu.
