Hey, mommies! You know how much I love sharing stories that inspire us to push our limits, right? Well, this one is a real-life adventure straight out of a movie—and yes, it involves mountains, dreams, and a can of tuna. 😄
Let me introduce you to Jeno Panganiban—a mountaineer, entrepreneur, and a Century Tuna Superbod athlete who just came back from the top of the world. Yes, THE Mount Everest!
Yup, Jeno recently reached the summit of Mount Everest, becoming the youngest male Filipino to do so in nearly two decades! Can you imagine how cold, exhausting, and absolutely life-changing that must have been? And what’s even more inspiring is that he did it not just with physical strength, but with passion, grit, and—you guessed it—the right kind of nourishment.
From Office Desk to Mountain Peak
Believe it or not, Jeno wasn’t always climbing mountains. He used to be a software engineer with a 9-to-5 job. Eventually, he decided to change course, start his own distribution business (hello, flexibility!), and pursue a healthier lifestyle. With more control over his time, he dove deep into his love for mountaineering—and the rest is history.
When he finally decided to take on his dream of climbing Everest, Jeno went all in. He trained for months, battled crazy cold temperatures, faced low oxygen levels, and braved the risky Khumbu Icefall (just typing that gave me chills!). Through it all, he stayed strong—physically and mentally.
The Secret Weapon? Protein-Packed Goodness!
One thing that really helped Jeno during his climb? His go-to snack: Century Tuna Hot & Spicy with saltine crackers. Super simple, but packed with protein—perfect for long treks and intense training. (I told you tuna was a superhero food!)
For Jeno, this wasn’t just about the climb. It was about proving to himself—and to others—that when we fuel our bodies right and train with purpose, we can reach our own summits, whatever they may be.
Fit for Any Role—Even Everest Summiteer!
This journey ties in beautifully with Century Tuna’s campaign, “Fit for Any Role.” Whether you’re a mountaineer, a busy mom (🙋♀️), a student, or someone just trying to make healthier choices, it’s all about being strong, ready, and confident in facing life’s challenges.
Here’s what Mr. Greg Banzon, Century Pacific Food Inc.’s EVP and COO, had to say:
Jeno is a living testament that anyone can face their own summit. He has shown us that through proper nutrition and strength, we can go after our dreams.
So mommies, whatever your summit looks like—be it running your first 5k, launching that home biz you’ve been dreaming about, or simply keeping it together every day—know that you’ve got what it takes.
Thanks to stories like Jeno’s (and a little help from Century Tuna), we’re all reminded that we’re fit for any role.
