Losing more and living more with C-Lium Fibre11:14 AM
Have you noticed how seldom it is that I share my photos in this blog? It's because I hate the way I look. I'm terribly obese and unhealthy, and there's no denying it.
I have tried other means of dieting in the past. Diet pills kept me slim for a while but my weight doubled when I stopped taking them. Dieting fads only made may blood sugar unstable therefore making my Type II Diabetes and Polycycstic Ovarian Syndrome worse. But thanks to this wonderful six-week project sponsored by C-Lium Fibre, I am now on my way to losing more to live more!
I and the other participants underwent an intensive blood and cholesterol screening last July 26, 2012 at the Medicard Lifestyle Center in Makati and I was not surprised with the results of my lab test. I weighed 189 lbs (I am only 5 foot tall), my blood pressure at the time of the screening was 150/100 mm HG, and my cholesterol levels were way above normal. You can see my initial results HERE.
For six weeks, I religiously took C-Lium Fibre in water 30 minutes before my first meal of the day. I also monitored my calorie intake and became active by dancing Zumba and doing the MetaFIT 4-minute exercise. Our September 7 final weigh in and check-up revealed that my weight dropped to 183 lbs. The other numbers dropped too, like my fasting blood sugar and my bad cholesterol (LDL) levels.What really took me by surprise was that, on our finale last September 20, I was declared the blogger ambassador to have the Biggest Drop in Blood Sugar Level! I have been a diabetic for more than a decade now and, for me, winning that award is even greater than getting all the sports awards and trophies in the world!
To date, I am now down to 180 lbs. It's still a long way to my 125 lbs weight goal but I'm confident that I can make it this time. I'm even more proud of myself because I'm finally losing pounds naturally through healthy diet, regular exercise, and C-Lium Fibre.
