MetroDeal, My Newest Groupon Fave

Remember the post I wrote about my favorite groupon sites way back in February this year? Well, there's another one that I'm adding to the list and that would be MetroDeal. Yesterday was the first time that I was able to redeem a voucher and I'm glad that there were no hassles whatsoever. By the way, the voucher I redeemed was a deal from Sandy's Pizza.

Ok, first thing's first, my review of Sandy's Pizza will be posted in our food blog, OurFoodTrip.com, and that this will be a MetroDeal review.

So anyway, from Robinson's Galleria, we drove to Sandy's Pizza in Katipunan Ave. to claim our pizza, pasta, and chicken wings deal. Sandy's Pizza delivers to nearby areas and Cainta is not one of them. Then again, yesterday being a Sunday, there was no traffic from Ortigas Avenue and driving was a breeze so it was ok for us to go there.

Upon arriving at their cute and cozy Katipunan Ave. branch, the cashier took my voucher and cross-checked it against their list of MetroDeal voucher holders. She then asked me to sign beside my voucher number and took our order. It was only 5 p.m. so the boys and I decided to just take the food home where we can enjoy it while watching DVDs.

After 15 minutes, we were ready to go home with our food package. Imagine, all of these for Php 465!

We got a 14" pizza (which was a combination of the Meatzarella and White Cheese flavors), an order of Tangy Buffalo Wings, and a large serving of Creamy Basil Pesto Pasta. These would all cost Php 935 if it were not sold at 50% off. Everything was worth it, I tell you. It was our first time to try Sandy's Pizza and I'm sure we'll be buying from them more often.

I'm glad that my first voucher is not a MetroDeal scam. And because we are so happy of our first MetroDeal voucher, we're using their vouchers once again when we go to Splash Island this weekend! By the way, the Splash Island 50% off deal is still on so better visit www.metrodeal.com now. Don't forget to also like the MetroDeal Facebook page to be updated on their latest deals.

  1. I have brought a number of vouchers at Metrodeal. So far, okay naman with the availment, yung nga lang maghihintay ka. Most of their promos, especially sa mga salons or beauty centers, you need to wait until after 3 to 4 weeks bago sila mag-accept ng mga may vouchers. Nakakairita lang that I paid for something tapos next month ko pa pala ma-aavail. So tip lang, before you purchase the voucher, call the merchant first then ask when will they start accepting Metrodeal vouchers. If malayo pa, saka na lang mag-avail. Eto pa - they have a promo yung YJC Lipo-Sculpt Cavitation - OMG! Pagdating mo sa clinic, doon mo malalaman, 10 sessions pala required for the treatment. Hindi pa nila sinabe sa website na 10 sessions ang kailangan. When I went there yesterday, the doctor asked me to pay additional 300 pesos! Kaloka talaga!

Also, totoo that Metrodeal Customer Service sucks. May auto-reply pa na within 24 hours pero took them 3 days bago may reply. Super bagal ng resolution.

I will still buy from them, but I learned na my lesson. :-)

  2. I really consider group buying sites or coupon sites a big help in spending a reasonable price for something that is somehow luxurious. I find it very economical especially for us Moms. I just bought a voucher a week ago from this coupon site that advertises something about coupons + duty free shopping (I don't know how that works). It's for a hotel in Batangas and I was quite impressed because after I bought the deal you can readily reserve a date online and have instant booking confirmation. Just a very convenient experience that you don't have to ring the hotel anymore. I think they're new first time I've heard of them from a Facebook Ad and I'm hoping we won't have any problems when we check-in... hehe. Anyway here's their site www.paynoy.com
