activities for dads
The 24 Hour Mommy was at The Mommy Milkshake Marathon 201012:05 AM
My boy and I ran last Sunday morning along with other mommies, daddies, kids, babies, grandpas, grandmas, and yayas at the Mommy Milkshake 2010. Now on its 4th year, Mommy Mundo's fun run for breastfeeding was as fun as ever! We ran amidst the rains brought by Bagyong Ester. In fact, it was the first time I saw happy parents letting their children run in the rain, LOL! My boy enjoyed his run, too. Well, actually, we walked most of the time, hahaha!
It was a pity that my husband had to be at the office that day. We were at the Bonifacio Global City as early as 5:30 am because my husband's shift started at 6 am. After breakfast at the Jollibee branch in front of St. Lukes, he dropped us off at the NBC Tent where the Mommy Milkshake Marathon 2010 registration took place.
After signing up beside our names in the registration booth, Rap and I headed over to the different sponsors booths that gave freebies for everyone. Aside from our take-home loot bag after the run, we also went home with Lactacyd Baby Bath freebies, magazines, and other what-have-yous. I was glad that everything fit inside the backpack that I had on me that day.
A few minutes into our 3k route, it started raining. I hurriedly brought out and used my umbrella just to protect our bag. Rap, well... you know how kids love playing in the rain!
We didn't win any special prize that day. Nevertheless, both of us were happy to finish the race and support a good cause. Till next year!
